What will I learn?
This course is aimed at learners with little or no previous knowledge of Arabic and it is delivered in 3 stages. The course introduces the four communicative skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. The content of the course is varied and will take into account the specific interests and needs of the learner group. Generally the course units may include: personal introductions, telephone messages, food and drink, eating out, shopping, travel and transport, getting around town, accommodation, numbers, time and the alphabet, social, cultural and ethical issues, environmental issues. The tutor uses a variety of teaching and learning techniques which include individual, pair and group work, role-plays and games among other activities. This course is also enhanced by the use of several ICT resources. The main focus in on the spoken language. This is a College Certified course.
