What's it all about?:
This course is designed to develop skills to prepare you for progression to higher level study at the university. It is aimed at adult learners who want a chance to retrain in art and design. It is a busy intense year that allows a full understanding of what is expected at university or art college.

Progression:
On successful completion of this course, you may progress to a degree or foundation degree in a art and design field.

Entry Requirements:
There are no specific entry requirements. However, you will be invited to attend an informal interview to assess your suitability for the course with a portfolio of art work.

Duration: One year Course Overview
What does the course involve?:

You will study a wide range of subjects including drawing, painting, mixed media, image manipulation, sculpture, fashion, art history and study skills.

When can I study?:
Three days per week

Are there any exams?:
The majority of the work is practical and College assessment takes place at the end of each unit. As the assessment is continuous it need not be daunting, but will be step by step. Staff are very supportive and a great deal of guidance is given to students.

Instalments are available for course fees. A deposit of £117.50 per year is payable before enrolment followed by three monthly payments of £117.50 per year
