2. Course description You'll learn about the different aspects of art, design, fashion and media with the aim of helping you to understand certain skills that are needed in each area. The practical sessions will give you exposure to drawing, painting, fashion design, using multi-media, TV, film, printing, 3D design and radio.  Students will have the chance to specialise in one of the areas enabling you to progress on to a Level 2 course.

Entry requirements Students must have ALL of the following:  • 3 GCSEs (including Art, Design, Textiles or Design Technology), or equivalent • A satisfactory interview • Successful assessment activities including literacy & numeracy • A portfolio of art and design work  Adults 19+ who have industry experience BUT do not have the necessary qualifications can be invited in for interview. 4. Equipment required Where appropriate, any equipment required (e.g. protective clothing) will be discussed with you at interview/enrolment.
