The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 requires duty holders who are in charge of non-domestic premises to assess for the presence of any Asbestos Containing Material (ACM). If any ACMï¾'s are identified, then adequate arrangements must be made to ï¾'Manageï¾' them in order protect people from coming into contact with released fibres. The course aims provide a brief description of Asbestos.

The course aims provide a brief description of Asbestos, the dangers arising from contact with Asbestos fibres, examples of common locations and the legal requirements relating to managing Asbestos. On completion of this course the candidate should be able to: · Recognise the dangers associated with Asbestos · Identify the common areas where it is likely that Asbestos may be present · Consider how to best manage asbestos that may be present in the premises · Have an understanding of the techniques required for identifying ACMï¾'s · Instigate an Asbestos Management Plan Assessment Certificate of attendance
