About this course
The main objective of this training course is to give you the “hands-on” knowledge and practical skills for your chosen trade, regardless of your current level of ability. This is a uniquely structured blended learning program, delivered by a combination of theory and practical skills acquisition.
The practical training is designed to complement the course – not only bringing into context the theory you have learnt at home, but also giving you the knowledge, skills and experience you need to work competently and safely in your chosen trade.
Anyone who wants to start a new career as a plumber. This course is aimed at people with no previous plumbing experience that would like to start a new career as a professional plumber and gain recognised UK qualifications.
Minimum age requirement is 19 years of age and Courses start from £20/ week
Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing and Heating (QCF)
Courses are split into 3 key areas; Practical (within a training centre), Theory (within a class-room environment) & Home Study.
On successful completion of all the aspects of the training course, you have the option to move up and complete an NVQ. This cannot be achieved at a training centre and without the underpinning knowledge, but only by completing a portfolio of diverse evidence of onsite work. Our recommended training providers offering courses in plumbing run their own construction projects which presents a unique opportunity for you to convert your City & Guilds technical qualifications into an NVQ with them in as little as 3 weeks.
