Understand the principles & requirements of assessment

Understand how to involve learners and others in assessment
Understand own contribution to the quality assurance of assessment
Understand how to manage information relating to assessment of occupational competence
Understand the legal and good practice requirements in relation to assessment
Be able to prepare assessments of vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
Be able to carry out assessments of vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
Be able to provide required information following the assessment of vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
Be able to maintain legal and good practice requirements when assessing vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
This qualification is for people who are working in, or want to work in Assessment. This course provides people who carry out assessment in their organisation with the opportunity to develop and improve their practice as well as achieving a professional qualification for their assessor role.
Although there are no formal entry requirements for this course, you should have a qualification or experience in the subject you want to assess in. You will also need your own candidates to carry out the observed sample assessment on.
TQUK is an OFQUAL approved nationally recognised Awarding Organisation who accredit Occupational Academy Ltd courses.
Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment. (People get the same certificate whether they attend a class based course or the online course)

Evidence for the learning outcomes and assessment criteria must comes from assessing 2 learners on 2 occasions in a real work environment against standards/criteria. There is also an essay based question.
