About this course

To join this course you will need to have a minimum of two candidates to assess for vocational achievement (such as NVQ or other qualification course candidates).

You will also need to demonstrate occupational competence in the area you plan to assess – this could be through qualifications you have achieved or via extensive professional experience.

Enrolment is subject to initial assessment and you will be required to attend an induction session at one of our centres. This will be to establish your role as a practitioner for assessment and your current level of English and maths.

Course review:

The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement replaces the A1 Assessor’s Award. The qualification is designed for practitioners who wish to upgrade qualifications such as D32/33 and those who are new to assessing skills, knowledge and understanding in vocationally-related qualifications such as NVQs.

The qualification can be started at any point throughout the year on a rolling basis and usually takes between 6 months and a year to complete.
