AWARD IN CUTTING MENS HAIR LEVEL 2Level 2 Part Time

How to cut men’s hair using a variety of basic barbering techniques, gaining knowledge of different cutting styles, safe use of cutting tools and equipment and maintenance of equipment including health and safety and aftercare advice.

The programme incorporates demonstration and student participation in a realistic working environment. Within the programme, students receive full support in their skill development and acquisition of competence. Students will be assessed through practical observation of skills and questioning. Assessments will be carried out on paying clientele.

This course is designed to deliver occupational capability and provide a sound platform with which to enter employment or further learning and training. Successful students will be able to find outlets for their skills in salons.

Successful completion of the course will result in a level 2 (QCF) qualification in cutting men’s hair.
