Course programme

Course Content

In Year 1 you will study both of your combined honours subjects equally. You will study marketing research and organisational contexts with supporting units from the business area. These units provide a foundation for further study and include research design and methodologies, and the economic and social structure in contemporary Britain.

In Year 2 you may choose to continue with equal study or choose a major/minor route. You will study marketing concepts and planning, consumer behaviour, and international marketing. You will be introduced to the marketing management process and will study how cultural,social and psychological factors affect consumer behaviour.

In Year 3 you may continue with an equal study or a major/minor route. You will study marketing communications strategy, services marketing and strategic management.You will learn how to develop strategic marketing communications planning, and in particular will look at the development and application of marketing strategies in the context of public and private leisure organisations.
