Course programme
“the programme is excellent and the facility (and level
of access) outstanding” [External Examiner Report, 2015]
Undergraduates enrolled on this programme share a creative environment with students studying Theatre, Dance and other Creative Arts programmes. Consequently there are many opportunities to work across disciplines in various project scenarios.
Technical resources and tutor support is excellent; all students are able to access the main studios, computer suites and module tutors every single week.
“the emphasis is on real-life skills, diversity of
musical genres, and specific industry-standard
software” [Academic Contact Report, 2015]
Recent graduates have gone on to successfully pursue careers within music production, live sound engineering, sound design for TV & games, music composition, studio / events management, professional performance, teaching, community arts and freelancing, whilst others have pursued postgraduate study in electroacoustic composition and instruments / interfaces design.
“a high level of academic tuition comparable (actually
surpassing) many other institutions” [External Examiner Report, 2015]
