Course programme
Nearly a quarter of all deaths involving vehicles at work occur while the vehicle is reversing. Many more accidents do not result in injury, but cause costly damage to vehicles, equipment and premises. Most of these accidents happen at low speeds and could be prevented by employing or training a banksman to keep the reversing area clear of pedestrians and to guide the driver of the vehicle.
Banksman training ensures that an organisation meets its legal requirements and reduces the risk of costly accidents when carrying out common, but dangerous, reversing manoeuvres.
This course teaches the necessary skills required to assess and supervise the techniques of other banksman employees.
What will the delegate bring back to the workplace?

Course content includes:

- Promotion of safe site practices
- Demonstration of HSE and Road Transport Industry Training Board recommended code of signals
- Monitoring and assessing the performance of other banksmen
- Managing remedial training
This one-day course is available in-company.
