Requirement
NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing or equivalent is required for the practical side of this course. For the theory side of this course, a good standard of English is required, and students with English as a second language are required to have ESOL Level 1. This is necessary due to the course containing a high level of written evidence with assignments, written questions and test papers. It should be noted that a good standard of physical health is required as hairdressing is often physically demanding and is not suitable for some skin conditions. It would be an advantage to have a salon work experience placement within a hairdressing salon while you attend this course.
