Basic Sewing Machine Skills & Alterations

If you’ve always wanted to know how to use a sewing machine and make alterations to a garment yourself our improved Basic machine skills and alterations is the course for you! Start by learning the basics, including how to thread a machine, fill a bobbin and do a variety of useful stitches and become a real machine queen! We’ll then help you to master both hand and sewing machine techniques, meaning you will be able to confidently hem and alter a pair of trousers and / or a skirt. Once you’ve got these skills under your belt, we’ll teach you how to take in clothes to fit your body shape - a skill we’ve added to the course based on customer feedback!
