2. Course description Our experienced and dedicated teaching staff are there to support and encourage you to achieve your goals.  You can expect lots of hands-on learning to ensure you master all the required techniques, great facilities and the best equipment. You'll also get to complete a range of practical observations, assignments, portfolios and theory-based units and tests.  Please note; All learners are now required to undertake Work Experience (minimum of 30 hours).  During the course you will study a combination of practical and theoretical units, providing you with all the necessary skills you will need to enter the world of work.  You will learn about the trade as a whole as well as about specialist facials, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, manicure and pedicure treatments, waxing, make-up skills, reception skills, sales skills and skin diagnosis.

Entry requirements You must have ONE of the following:      4 GCSEs (3 at grades A*-D & 1 at grade A*-E), including English, Maths & Science     Level 1 Beauty at Distinction     Equivalent qualifications - Functional skills may be accepted in place of GCSE English and/or Maths   Adults 19+ who have industry experience BUT do not have the necessary qualifications can be invited in for interview 4. Equipment required Where appropriate, any equipment required (e.g. protective clothing) will be discussed with you at interview/enrolment.
