Beginner Waxing

Overview

Our waxing course is designed to give students an in depth knowledge of waxing in a two day training course. The first day will provide students with practical and theory of waxing and the second day will provide students with a waxing exam.

Students who pass the waxing exam will be able to obtain insurance through BABTAC.

The wax course is ideal for students who are either new to beauty therapy or as a salon refresher course. The waxing course can also be used as an induction to our advanced waxing course.

Hair removal provided through waxing is a very profitable service and a must for any beauty therapist and salon.

What will I learn in the waxing course?

Techniques for hair removal from all areas of the body and face
Different methods: hot wax and warm wax
Hair lightening using a safe bleaching process
Studying the structure of the hair and how hair grows
Post-treatment care techniques
Contra-indications to treatments
Client consultation / counselling techniques

Why should I take the waxing course

Waxing and hair removal is a fundamental part of the beauty industry. It can be very profitable and an essential service to offer within the beauty salon. Next Step Beauty provide intense waxing training through dedicated waxing tutors. From our central location near Norwich in Norfolk or as part of our UK training programme, our waxing course provides students with intense training designed to increase the students practical and theoretic knowledge of waxing.

How will the course be structured?

The course will cover the theory part in the morning followed by a step by step demonstration from which students will observe and then work on each other. Students are assessed throughout the day through observation of practical skills, questions and answers and a quiz will be taken at the end of the day. All students will receive feedback at the end of the day and will be encouraged to identify development areas Each student will be required to attend their second day of the course 8 weeks after the first day to complete an assessment day, where a practical and written paper will be completed to assess the skills and knowledge of each student. A pass or refer will be given at the end of the assessment day

Will I be able to work within the industry after the course?

Yes this course is accredited with BABTAC Beauty insurance which will offer you the insurance cover needed to provide treatments on paying client's within the industry. On successful completion of the course a Next Step Beauty training certificate will be issued and a photocopy of this will be required by the insurance company to process your application of insurance.
