Beginners Silver Jewellery - Evening Class

** PLEASE NOTE THIS CLASS RUNS FROM 6.30-9PM FOR FIVE WEEKS IN A ROW, ONE EVENING A WEEK**

This fun evening course runs over 5 weeks and covers the basic techniques of making silver jewellery from traditional methods.

Techniques covered in this class include:
- Sawing
- Soldering
- Annealing
- Sanding and polishing
- Working with silver
- Adding texture to metal
- Using rolling mills
- Tools and resources
- How to carry on making silver jewellery after the class & much more.

This class is suitable for complete beginners and we have a maximum of 8 students per class allowing lots of one-on-one attention. Silver for most projects is included in the course fee but if you want to do larger projects extra silver can be brought on the class.

Students usually make around 3 finished pieces of silver jewellery to take away with them throughout the course and there is plenty advice as to where tools and materials can be purchased to carry on with silver jewellery making after the class.

What you need to bring to this class:
For this class you don't need to bring anything but yourself as everything is provided. The price of this course includes a silver allowance which is generally enough to make around 3 pieces depending on size. Students who wish to make larger pieces can do so; if a student goes over their dedicated allowance then the extra is paid per gram at the going rate.

As with all of our classes, all materials are included in the cost of the class as well as plenty of tea coffee and luxury biscuits! The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable.
