Brief Description of the Course:

The course is designed to develop teaching and training modules within the equine industry.

Entry Criteria:

To be at least 18 years old on 1 September in year of entry. To have a minimum of one year's appropriate practical experience working full-time with horses. To hold a minimum of BHS Stage II.

Progression:

Successful completion allows progression on to BHS Stage III and IV intermediate instructor course.

Special Requirements:

1 Study tour Day trips to appropriate yards.

2 Equipment and/or clothing Dark coloured jodhpurs, dark colour College sweatshirt, tall boots with heal and smooth sole, dressage whip, jumping whip, gloves, grooming kit. Approved hat BHS standard PAS015 or BSEN1384. A BSI approved back protector is compulsory for jumping lessons.
