Successful completion of the training programme and assessment will enable candidates to understand:

  • Session 3 Protection of Children
  • Session 4 Your Social Responsibilities
  • Session 5 Recognising Drunkenness and your Duty not to serve
  • Session 6 Dealing with Alcohol-Related Crime and Conflict

To achieve the BIIAB Level 1 Award in Responsible Alcohol Retailing candidates must attend a 1 day course concluding with a short exam of 25 multiple choice questions. The Exam is split into 2 halves and candidates must correctly answer 3 compulsory questions in order to pass the exam.
