Introduction:
The aim of this course is to enable students to extend their massage skills.

Study Mode & Location:
This 3 day intensive course, spread over a number of weeks, will be held at Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent`s Road, Preston, PR2 8UR.

All practical assessments must be carried out on paying clients, which you will be asked to provide.

Course Content:
The course will consist of:

• advanced massage techniques
• neuromuscular/trigger points
• paraffin wax
• infra red
• audio sonic
• stretching techniques

Assessment:
All units are internally assessed by an assessor observing and questioning your practical work.

All practical assessments must be carried out on paying clients, which you will be asked to provide.

Careers & Progression Opportunities:
Successful completion of this course allows progression to VTCT Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy. Employment opportunities exist in sectors providing body massage services.

The cost of this course is £211.

Additional Information:
Please note - no canteen facilities will be available throughout this course and therefore it is recommended that you bring a packed lunch for both students and clients.

You may need to have an informal interview with a Adult Admissions Adviser before enrolling on this course.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
