This course is suitable for new or practising therapists. The course offers lots of practical experience, whilst under the guidance of a trained practitioner and teacher. Case studies are completed by students after the practical training days.
The course will be delivered at a beautiful rural venue, to enhance your learning experience, providing a therapeutic tone.
The course is relaxed, with some classroom delivery, but much of it is spent experimentally learning.

About this course
To attain a certificate in Swedish Body Massage
New or existing therapists
None, but one must have completed a certificate ( or equivalent) in Anatomy and Physiology ( level 3), to be awarded with a certificate. If you do not have A and P, you can do this alongside your case studies which you would carry out after your training.
Certificate in Swedish Body Massage
Small group training affords the trainer to give you the attention and guidance you need. There is lots of practical learning during the course training, giving you first hand experience of the therapy.
The teacher has had 15 years experience as a therapist and has been training people for ten years. She has BSc Honours in Complementary therapies and health Sciences, professional certificate in Education.

Course programme
This is a four day intensive course, which includes the following topics:
- Anatomy and physiology notes will be provided for the student, but you are expected to study in your own time. If you already have a certificate in Anatomy and Physiology, this will not be necessary.
- Client care
- The benefits of Swedish Body Massage
- Contra-actions and contra-indications
- The practical application of Swedish Body Massage
- Types of oils used for Swedish Body Massage
- Salon Hygiene
- Health and Safety
The student will also be expected to carry out case studies.
Once the case studies and a practical assessment have been carried out , the student will be awarded a Certificate in Swedish Body Massage from The Holistic Coach House, which is recognised by the Complementary Medical Association. You will be able to become a member of the CMA and attain insurance to practice professionally.
