The BOHS P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings module provides the trainee with the practical knowledge and skills to be able to manage asbestos in buildings and a knowledge base to audit asbestos removal projects.

This course includes a 1 hour 30 minute examination and a 2 hour 15 minute practical assessment. Candidates must pass the written examination AND the practical assessment to be awarded the BOHS Proficiency Certificate in this module.

Content of the BOHS P405 syllabus: Legislation - 20%; Management of Asbestos in buildings - 30%; Asbestos remediation - 20%; Role of the Laboratory/Analyst - 5%; Practical work - 25
