Bricklaying Diploma Level 3(FECN0003)

What will I study?

• Learn the advanced techniques needed to become a more advanced bricklayer
• Take on advanced projects using complex geometry techniques in order to construct specialist arches and walling
• Learn about managing a construction site or small company
• Undertake site surveying and setting out
• Learn how to complete construction specific drawings using both drawing instruments and modern techniques
• Functional Skills in maths and English (for those who have not achieved GCSE grades C or above in these subjects)
• Develop Functional Skills in IT

• You will receive support from tutors with expert knowledge of the industry
• The Construction department, which includes trowel occupations (bricklaying), is grade one ‘Outstanding’ for its teaching and learning by Ofsted
• The workshop facilities are to a high standard ensuring your needs are met while developing employability skills

What can I progress to?
Students who successfully complete a Level 3 Diploma can move on to Higher Education including university or into employment to gain an NVQ qualification.

What are the entry requirements?
Higher Level 2 qualification in brickwork specialism of the diploma.
