About this Course

From this point, you can move on to Higher Education. You can also go on to study at HNC or HND level to become a site manager or construction technician. The course can also be a springboard for a career in structural and civil engineering or surveying.

What will I study?
  • Learn the advanced techniques needed to become a more advanced bricklayer
  • Take on advanced projects using complex geometry techniques in order to construct specialist arches and walling
  • Learn about managing a construction site or small company
  • Undertake site surveying and setting out
  • Learn how to complete construction specific drawings using both drawing instruments and modern techniques
  • Functional Skills in maths and English (for those who have not achieved GCSE grades C or above in these subjects)
  • Develop Functional Skills in IT
