Description of the Course
This course will provide you with a broad understanding of the construction industry and teach you the skills required to work to the recognised national standard in bricklaying.
Course content

· Building solid walls and piers
· Building cavity walls,chimneys,flues and arches
· Drainage systems
· Basic Scaffolding
· Setting out a rectangular building
· Health and Safety on site

Who is the course for?
This course is for anyone interested in a career in Construction.
Entry requirements
2 GCSE at Grade D or above or successfull completion of the Foundation Construction Award. A College assessment will be required.
What can I do after this course?
Further Construction programmes, employment or students may wish to consider gaining additional skills such as electrical installation. We offer various courses on this.

Overalls and steel toe cap boots are essential at a cost of around £25
