Learn how to open the bidding at the two level with strong and weak hands.
The course will be taught in a relaxed and friendly environment and from day one you will be encouraged to play cards. Through discussion and observation, individual needs will be assessed and the course tailored to meet those needs. Teaching methods include prepared hands to play; Q & A; quizzes and recapitulation. All handouts will be provided including worksheets for optional homework practice.

Course programme

We begin by looking at the opening two no-trump bid and how to respond. Thereafter we will look at how we bid and respond to the game forcing, two club opener which shows either a balanced hand with 23+ HCP or an eight-playing trick hand in a suit. We will also look at the Weak Two bid showing 5-9 points in Diamonds, Hearts or Spades. Depending on progression, we may cover Blackwood.

You do not need to purchase anything but you are advised to bring note-taking materials.
