About this course


Drawing from your extensive theoretical knowledge, combined with a high level of practical skills, you’ll be highly competitive in the graduate employment market. After graduation you’ll be in a strong position to pursue a career in the following areas, research scientist, lab technician, scientific writer, medical and healthcare regulations, patent law, data scientist, clinical trials or medical sales.

For CRIC: 5 GCSE passes at grade 3 or above. For GCSE taken prior to 2017 a grade E or above will be accepted Or a minimum of 19 points in the International Baccalaureate

• This course focuses on on the science that underpins modern medicine. Understand how a healthy human body works, the impact of diseases and how normal function can be restored.
• Acquire essential medical knowledge, develop the fundamental scientific skills that underpin the investigation,
diagnosis and prevention of diseases, including devising treatment regimens.
• In state-of-the-art simulation suites, you’ll experience a variety of ‘real-life’ clinical environments, from an operating theatre to the intensive care unit.
•You’ll be in a strong position to pursue a career in the knowledge industries, such as the pharmaceutical or medical technology (MedTech) sectors. You could find yourself in a research and development, clinical trials or sales and marketing role, or on the way to being a Scientific Officer in the Civil Service.
