BSc (Hons) Psychology (2 + 2)

The 2 + 2 BSc Honours Degree in Psychology involves two years full time attendance at Wirral Met College followed by a final two years at the University of Liverpool. You will be introduced to academic psychology through a multi-disciplinary and integrated approach which will prepare you to progress into the second year of the BSc (Hons) Psychology course at the University of Liverpool. Years 0 and 1 - you will complete the following units. Introduction to psychology Physiology Research methods and statistics Group practical Complementary studies Information Technology In Year 1 - you will complete the following units. Brain, cognition and behaviour: Cognitive psychology Brain, cognition and behaviour: Biological psychology Introduction to psychology: History, philosophy and evolution Introduction to psychology 2 : Approaches to mental health Methods, statistics and computing 1 and 2 Transferable skills Years 2 and 3 - Modules are completed in the school of Psychology at the University of Liverpool and include a 2 week placement in the summer between year 1 and year 2.
