What will I study?
The course provides an introduction to selected aspects of Psychology, Theory and Research. The course content provides; opportunities to develop critical skills of analysis, interpretation and evaluation; opportunities to explore how psychology has contributed to an understanding of individual, social and cultural diversity and an awareness of the ethical responsibilities of psychological research. Assessment takes the form of modular tests and coursework.
How can I progress?
Students commonly progress from this course onto Higher Education, however, progression can be in the form of improved employment prospects.

Course Structure
In order to gain a full AS/A2 level in Psychology these units will be studied; AS *Social Psychology Concerning how people conform and obey, *Biological Psychology Concerning stress levels in society, *Psychopathology Concerning explanations for abnormal behaviour, *Research Methods How we study behaviour, *Cognitive Psychology Concerning memory, * Developmental Psychology Attachment and bonding to children. A2 *Topics in Psychology - 3 Areas of human behaviour will be studied. *Psychopathology - An in depth study of one mental disorder. *Psychology in action - A contemporary application of Psychology. *Research Methods - How we study behaviour.
