BTEC Diploma (90 Credit) in IT Level 3 (Fast Track Course)

This fast track course is specifically designed to allow you to complete a BTEC Diploma (90 credit) in IT at level 3 in one year. By successfully completing the course you will achieve the equivalent of one and a half A-levels and gain UCAS points, depending on the grades you achieve.

You will study a range of computer related subjects, including:

• website production and management,

• communicating in the IT industry,

• computer animation,

• computer games.

You will learn using different techniques, including:

• lectures,
• demonstrations,
• self-directed study,
• practical work,
• tutorials,
• online activities.

You will be involved in work-related simulations to help you gain experience through realistic working environments. You will be able to access resources relating to your course using the college Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle).

Entry Requirements

• You must be 17 years old.
• A minimum of five GCSEs grade A*-C, including English language, and maths at grade D or above, or
• a level 2 qualification at overall merit grade, English at level 2 and maths at level 1.
