BTEC Diploma in Business Level 3

The course will prepare you for the business and IT industry. You will complete assignments, including theory and practical exercises and will develop the skills you need for future employment or higher education.

The course is a two year programme equivalent to three A levels. You will study 18 units, including four core units and 12 optional units worth a maximum of 420 credits.

Core units:

• the business environment
• business resources
• introduction to marketing
• business communications

Optional units will include:

• accounts
• retail
• website design
• human resources
• law
• business online

You will develop independent study skills and apply these to realistic assignments, scenarios and challenging activities, including case studies, group work and individual research.

Entry Requirements

• A minimum of five GCSEs grade A*-C including English language, AND maths at grade D or above,or
• a level 2 qualification at overall merit grade, English at level 2 and maths at level 1.
