Course Content: This is a course for people who want to take the first step towards a career in working with children or adults in a care setting. Both Health and Social Care and Childcare are two of the largest employment sectors in the country. They cover a wide range of career opportunities including nursing, physiotherapy, social work, nursery nurse, teacher, and care of the elderly to name just a few.
Whilst studying on this course you will learn about health and safely matters, how to deal with health emergencies and personal presentation skills.
Other subjects you will cover include:
· Caring for Children
· Personal Presentation and Skills for Work.
Special Features: Throughout the course you will learn a wide range of new skills that will help you progress on to other Health and Social Care courses. During the course you will have the support from tutors and Learning Support Staff who will also help you with your basic Maths and English skills.
Progression: Most students move either to another Entry course at a Higher Level or onto a Level 1 course in either Health and Social Care or Childcare, or move into employment.
