Course Progression: Progression to the second year of the Extended Diploma in Music Technology, then onto the Foundation Degree in Creative Sound Technology

Careers Progression: You can progress to the Sound, Music Technology and related industries including Media areas. Examples could include producers ( such as Dre Dre, George Martin etc), engineers or composers.

Course Description:
There are two pathways: one is a more traditional recording and live engineering and the other is for the modern computer creative producer. You will study many areas relevant to today's creative individual.

Description Breakdown:
A mix of practical recording sessions and theory of recording will be taught. You will also study units on history of popular music, music business, music technology, acoustics and electronics. Functional Skills form an integral part of the course. You will learn the skills needed for a modern music producer.
Modules are assessed using a range of methods including practical assignments, written essays, projects and phase tests, completed both in college and at home.
