You will normally need to have one of the following. BTEC Introductory Certificate in Sport and Leisure plus level 1 literacy and numeracy or related interests and experience. You will be invited to attend an informal interview to discuss your requirements with a course tutor.

Course Content:
The course is made up of 3 units in total. These are, The Body in Sport; Health, Safety and Injury in Sport; Practical Sport.
The units are graded P (pass), M (merit) or D (distinction). The personal skills units are designated pass or fail.
Progression:
Successful students can progress to related qualifications at level 2. Others may take another qualification, at level 1 or 2, in an alternative sector. This qualification can also prepare you for employment in the Sport and Leisure industry.
