Students will benefit from a wide range of public service related outdoor and adventurous activities including gorge walking, climbing, canoeing, kayaking, bushcraft and hill walking. They will also take part in a self-sufficient overnight residential, participate in on-going fitness training which is relevant to public service entrance tests, learn self defence and conflict management as well as gain knowledge from visits to a diverse range of public sectors.

Course programme
Students can prepare for a career in one of these areas and experience the types of roles and responsibilities of the uniformed public services.
During the course we aim to give students the opportunity to develop key attributes, such as communication skills, flexibility, teamwork and the ability to think and work independently. All of these skills are crucial to public service work.
