Course Content: This Level 2 course is designed to introduce students to the world of creative and practical media work. You will complete 7 units through a number of hands on projects including animation, music video, documentary and advertising. You will learn to script, shoot and edit video and create page layout using the latest digital media technology.

Course Format: Each unit will require research skills, planning and practical hands on media production. Youll develop writing skills alongside your creative technical skills, like camera work and computer based editing. The course encourages creative ideas which you will develop into real video or print design pieces.

All 7 units are internally assessed through folders of planning work, final videos/print layouts and written evaluations. As there are no final exams, you need to work hard all year round on tasks.

Progression: You will need to achieve a Merit grade overall to progress to a Level 3 BTEC National Course in Media Production.
