What are the Course Details?
This academic course deals with the principles and practices within the sport and exercise industry and is equivalent to one A Level in the first year, with progression to a second year to complete the BTEC National Diploma in Sport. The full Diploma is equivalent to three A Levels. It is primarily a theoretical course that analyses every aspect of the industry through the medium of sport. It is delivered through a variety of practical methods, taking place within the classroom, the College gym (Kingsway Fitness Suite), West Common Sports Hall, the sports field and the multi-use games areas.

Is the Course for Me?
Learners are not expected to be outstanding at sport, but a good general understanding of a variety of sports would be a great advantage. Mature learners are encouraged to apply and entry onto the course will depend upon a successful interview.

What are the Entry Requirements?
