BTEC Subsidiary/Extended Diploma Level 3 in Public Services

This qualification has been designed to provide highly specialised work-related knowledge, understanding and skills sought by employers in a wide range of uniformed public services, such as: communications; teamwork; leadership; problem solving; citizenship; diversity and discipline. It is important that you have a positive outlook and a willingness to step out of your comfort zone by trying different activities.
The course will prepare you for the mental and physical demands of life in the services. You’ll be taught by professionals with years of service in the uniformed public services (Police, armed reserves and outdoor educational professionals) so you’ll benefit from outstanding expertise and vast knowledge. In addition, the College works in close collaboration with the Police, Fire and Ambulance Services and the Armed Forces.
Students can prepare for a career in one of these areas (or continue their studies at a higher level) drawing from the experiences they have gained throughout the course and will be equipped and prepared for the various selection processes the Uniformed Services adopt.
