About this course
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and hold 4 GCSEs including Maths and English or equivalent. Alternatively a Level 3 qualification e.g. a GCE a Level, National Diploma/Cert Award or equivalent. Entry is by interview. Candidates over 21 years of age who have appropriate work experience need not necessarily hold previous academic qualifications.

Course Length
The course consists of four semesters, over two years. Attendance one full day (9.00am 5.00pm), half day/evening (2.00pm 0.00pm). (2x Evenings 6.00pm - 9.00pm)
What will I study?
The Higher National Certificate in Building Studies comprises of a number of core option modules which lead to a General Construction qualification.
There are 6 core modules, 4 option modules (chosen via the College to suit demand), taken over four semesters.
