The NVQ EWPA (Experienced Worker Practical Assessment ) route is intended for those experienced workers who are seeking an NVQ Level 2 Diploma and have sufficient experience such that they do not need any additional training to complete the NVQ practical assessment.

EWPA is the quickest way to obtain an NVQ which will enable you to obtain a blue (skilled) CSCS Card and is open to Bricklayers, Carpenters, Painters and Decorators who require a fast track trouble free route to obtaining a CSCS Card and qualification.

Here at NCA you can find out how we can help!

The NVQ EWPA is a route enabling an experienced worker of 5 years or more to achieve their NVQ level 2 in their relevant trade through practical assessment and is available as a fast track qualification option, which we can help you obtain in just two days at NCA.

A short meeting to establish your competence could put you well on your way to obtaining an NVQ, a requirement for any construction site worker since 2010.

We have all of the required assessment procedures in place: qualified staff, excellent facilities and all of the support and guidance to help you obtain an NVQ level 2.

NCA is an approved CAA (Construction Awards Alliance) and C&G (City & Guilds) centre and can help experienced tradespersons gain the NVQ Level 2 qualification which they have previously not had the time or the opportunity to obtain. This should enable you to achieve NVQ without the need for site visits and with little or no disruption to ongoing commitments.

By using your skills acquired over the years to complete a task in our NVQ centre (approx 1 to 2 days) which is then assessed followed by a professional discussion with an NVQ Assessor it is possible to achieve the required NVQ level 2 needed to gain access to site work.

With the 2010 requirement for all site workers to hold Experienced Worker cards or Skilled Worker cards, the need for experienced tradesmen to gain NVQ’s has never been more important. Without the right qualification, you will be unable to gain access to site to undertake your work.

The course from start to finish will be completed at The National Construction Academy as we have the facilities and staff in place to fast track you through the NVQ process.

A CSCS Card is the most important qualification in construction. A CSCS Card shows that you have the skills required to work well in your trade and that you have the Health and Safety knowledge needed to work safely. CSCS Cards are graded by a colour system, the CSCS Card you qualify for depends on your level of training, experience and qualifications.

Your CSCS Card will be specific to your trade and will also contain relevant information about you on its computer chip so that the information can be checked on site. Currently about 80% of UK Construction sites require all workers to have a CSCS Card.
