Business (Events Management) - BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma

This course gives you a thorough introduction to Events Management and Business. During the two-year course, you will study a range of units to develop your knowledge and understanding of the field, and will gain work experience in an events management environment. Units include Events, Conferences and Exhibitions; Hospitality Operations; and Project Management.

You need four GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and Maths. Alternatively, you need a BTEC Level 2 Diploma at Merit or above, with Functional Skills in English and Maths.

You will also need a good reference from a school or employer. Your interest in the subject will be assessed during a formal interview prior to full enrolment.

This course is currently 100% coursework and you will be assessed in a variety of ways, including presentations, role-plays and time-limited exercises.

If you complete this Extended Diploma with Merit or above, you will have achieved UCAS points equivalent to three A Levels. This should make you eligible for study at degree level. Possible careers include marketing, sales, and events management.
