Why should I come to Pendleton College?

What will I study?
BTEC First in Business offers students the opportunity to experience the world of business. Completion of three mandatory units and three optional units are required through the completion of a portfolio of work. The mandatory units are:
- Exploring Businesses Purposes
- Developing Customer Relations
- Investigating Financial Control
What will I achieve?
Completion of the course results in the award of a BTEC First Diploma qualification at Pass, Merit or Distinction grade - roughly equivalent to four GCSE grades at grade A* - C.
How is the course assessed?
The form of assessment is by assignments, one of which is assessed externally.
What else will I do?
The department is committed to providing a range of enrichment activities including: business and industrial visits; computer, video and other business simulations; invited speakers; education and business initiatives - particularly related to problem-solving activities which are integrated into all business courses. In addition, the key skills of communication, application of number and information technology are integrated into all business courses.
