I really liked Middlesex’s modern campus and facilities as I felt these demonstrated the University’s commitment to providing an exceptional learning environment for its students. I also think the multicultural environment is great and equips you with the right skills to work in today’s global economy.

Course programme
You’ll look at how information systems benefit an organisation, and how to assess a company’s IT needs and choose appropriate technologies and methods for setting up a system. You’ll learn to evaluate and manage information systems and strategies, including quality management and the use of models to evaluate processes and products, and assess their impact on an organisation. You’ll also learn to analyse, design, develop and build web based applications.
You’ll cover business, management and decision making theory, recent developments in information systems and legal, regulatory, ethical and professional issues, including consumer protection, data protection, security, regulations concerning electronic transactions, privacy, contract issues, intellectual property, copyright and trademarks. The course also looks at setting up an online business, managing an e commerce site, consumer search behaviour, customer relationship management, business intelligence, data mining, data warehousing and decision support systems.
Finally, you’ll work on your independent computing project, which will be a piece of original research presented through a written thesis and possibly an oral exam. A series of workshops will help you develop the skills you’ll need, including your research skills. The course will also improve your logical, problem solving and decision making abilities and your teamwork, time management, organisational and project management skills – you’ll design and deliver projects as part of a multicultural team.
