What will I study?
This exciting course is designed to give students the opportunity to develop a range of employability skills and techniques in business, administration and retail, exploring personal qualities and attitudes essential in working life.

Duration:
One year

Do I need any additional qualifications/ skills?
This course includes approximately 60 hours of work experience. Students will also study functional skills at appropriate levels, in Application of Number, Communications and Information Technology. There is a full enrichment programme when students can follow a subject of interest or take part in recreational activities and sport.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by the completion of a portfolio to provide evidence of completed assignments which are both internally and externally set.

What can I do afterwards?
This is an interesting and stimulating course which could provide a stepping stone into employment in the business, retail and administration industries where some experience is necessary to gain initial employment. It would also provide a suitable qualification for students to progress on to a range of further study at Levels 1 and 2.
