This framework has been developed by employers and providers to meet the needs of small and medium size enterprises through to the larger organisations.
It provides a structured approach to training and developing prospective accountants who understand the needs of the organisation, its customers and the sector which they operate.
This framework will help employers' recruitment of accountants to the sector by providing a training programme that can attract and retain high quality individuals.

Course programme

In order to achieve a full apprenticeship you must successfully complete the different parts of the framework over 21 months (12 – 15 months if you have already achieved AAT Level 2). This consists of sector related industry qualifications: Competence and Knowledge qualification: Level 3 Diploma in Accounting (AAT) Level 2 Certificate in Accounting (AAT) Functional Skills qualifications: Level 2 Functional Skill in English Level 2 Functional Skill in Maths Employment Rights and Responsibilities Personal Learning and Thinking Skills Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to work for a real employer, earn a real salary and gain a real qualification whilst gaining valuable workplace skills and experience. Delivery is in the classroom at our College House opposite Park Lane Campus, one day per week (10am - 5pm) or two evenings per week Monday and Wednesday (6pm - 9pm). This is spent learning the theory and basis of application in a supportive learning environment. For the rest of the week you will be in paid employment within a finance establishment. A rigorous recruitment and selections process is carried out to ensure that the aspiring apprentices are suited to enduring this exciting and challenging route of study.
