What will I study?
You will focus on how business works in the real world. You will discover the problems and opportunities faced by local, national and international organisations and be encouraged to take part in activities such as business planning, marketing planning evaluating businesses.

A2 areas of study:
Finance
Business development
Marketing decisions

Study Visits
Several day visits, e.g. Manchester Airport and Alton Towers. Various businesses such as Ford and Hart Shaw Accountants will visit college to discuss how their businesses operate.

Cost
No more than £15 per trip.

Assessment
Students' performance is measured through a combination of coursework assessment and externally-set written tests.

AS: 2 pieces of coursework and 1 written test.

A2: 2 pieces of coursework (one completed under exam conditions) and 1 written test.

Useful Supporting Courses
Any other subjects especially ICT, Economics, Accounting and language units in French, German and Spanish.
