Course Description:
This course was originally designed for the NICEIC†s requirement that all prospective Qualifying Managers (QM) are fully conversant with BS 7671: 2001.

Description Breakdown:
Candidates will be able to carry out design work for electrical installations on Domestic, Commercial and Industrial Installations to meet the requirements of BS7671 and the associated guidance notes.

The assessments assume the following abilities
• to apply standard electrical formulae
• to define all the standard terms in BS 7671
• awareness and knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act (1989)
• awareness and knowledge of the Electricity at Work Act

Assessment includes:
A 3 hour Design, Erection and Verification written examination plus a design project (which is intended to occupy a minimum of 20 hours of work).
