InTuition Portable Appliance Testing Training

InTuition carry out PAT Testing Training Courses at several venues nationwide or can train staff at your premises. Our course enables candidates to become competent PAT Testers in just one day. The course covers all legal requirements and includes over 3 hours of practical sessions. Candidates can inspect and PAT Test a wide variety of portable electrical appliances including domestic equipment, power tools, office and IT equipment, and IEC leads, using many different models of PAT Tester, or they can bring their own tester. A Certificate of Competence is issued to successful candidates.

InTuition accepts a maximum of 8 candidates on each course, which enables us to give attention to individuals. We also provide a PAT Tester for every candidate to use, unlike other courses where 2 or 3 may share a machine. Our courses also run for a full day, to give you as much practise as you need - unlike some of our competitors who advertise a full day, then finish just after lunch.

Who Should Attend? It is recommended that companies should elect to train at least one member of staff to test appliances on a regular basis. Although there are no pre-entry qualifications it is important to select suitable candidates who can demonstrate an understanding of basic electricity and are willing and able to develop competency with training and subsequent vocational experience. People wishing to start their own business as a PAT Tester, or Electricians who wish to offer this as an additional service, will also gain from this course.
