Construction and the Built Environment - Painting and Decorating
C&G 7822-03 Level 2 Design & Craft Certificate in Decorative Paint Effects(2010/2011)
Study Method:
The course lasts for 36 weeks, and involves attending the college for three hours, on one morning or evening per week. Each finish is demonstrated by the lecturer, and the students are advised to take notes at this stage. The student then practises the finishing techniques, receiving advice and help from the lecturer. Each students work is displayed in our end of year exhibition and students are expected to assist in the setting up and running of this event.
Duration :36 weeks - one 3 hour session per week plus 4 additional sessions for visits & exhibitions
Who the Course is For:
People in the painting and decorating trades who wish to improve their skills. The course is also suitable for people outside these trades who are interested in the craft of decorative paint finishes.
Assessment:
The assessment consists of the production of two practical projects, a portfolio of samples and a folder of supporting notes etc.
Course Leads To:
Students successfully completing the course will be awarded a C&G 7822-03 certificate. Students may then wish to continue their studies by going on to a C&G 7922 course, C&G 7822/31, C&G 7819 or an NVQ.
