Keen motivated parents, carers, and volunteers be part of an exciting journey of learning and fun, while you develop skills, knowledge, and understanding of early years settings and the developing child.
What qualifications or experience do I need ?Learners should be at least 16 years of age. Literacy level E3.
What will I study ?The programme of study is 3 hours a week in college for 18 weeks. It is recommended that students are also volunteering in an early years setting. The course will cover two Mandatory Units: The value of play for babies and young children Management and organisation in an early years setting plus one Optional Unit.
How will I be assessed ?The qualification will be assessed by a range of methods. This could include tasks such as written information and oral questions.
What qualifications could I achieve ?The Award will require learners to complete 6 credits in total from Mandatory and Optional Units.
