This course follows the creative process in calligraphy. Starting from script analysis students will study
closely Roman capitals and learn arrange text on a page, creating a finished work of calligraphy.

Teaching methods will include visual presentations, individual instruction, group discussion and practical work. It is possible to achieve the aims of the course by working at class only. Practice at home, however, would be desirable. You will need a notebook and a pen. Basic materials and tools will be provided for use during the class, however, you might want to buy your own tools. Your tutor will give you advice on equipment during the course.
