Course programme
In order to achieve a full Apprenticeship you must successfully complete the different parts of the framework over 24 months.
This consists of sector related industry qualifications
Early Years practitioner (Early Years Educator)
Level 2 Functional skill ICT
Employee rights and responsibilities
You will be required to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of early years education and care, including that you can:
support and promote children's early education and development
plan and provide effective care
teaching and learning that enables children to progress and prepares them for school
make accurate and productive use of assessment
develop effective and informed practice
safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children
work in partnership with the key person, colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals.
You will also take part in a longitudinal study of children in the setting Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to work for a real employer, earn a real salary and gain a real qualification whilst gaining valuable workplace skills and experience. Delivered entirely in the workplace
All Apprentices must be employed and working in a role that meets the competence requirements of the framework. Our experienced, qualified staff will support your staff to achieve their framework.
Apprentices will be visited once a month in the workplace and delivery will take place on a one to one basis.
As there is no college attendance it is recommended at least 2 hours per week is spent away from the working role to concentrate on any development activities set.
